Abstract
In the context of the adoption of the open data policy, many countries have acknowledged legislations enshrined the right of every citizen to access information, as legal data from legal texts and judicial rulings have become freely available.
The adoption of the open data policy has facilitated access to legal information and entailed the emergence of voluminous legal data, which prompted many Legal Techs companies to invest in this huge amount of data, taking advantage of the remarkable development witnessed by artificial intelligence technology to provide various services in the legal field.
Based on the above, the importance of governance in the development of these services emerges, that is, the development is carried out in accordance with legal foundations and standards and within a regulatory framework, and this is in order to protect fundamental rights on the one hand and to ensure the quality of information and services on the other.
