Abstract

This study examines the impact of psychological factors and logical fallacies on judicial reasoning, using applications from criminal and disciplinary judiciary rulings in Egypt. The research highlights the significance of judges' internal psychological factors, which may influence their decision-making and judgments, as well as the logical fallacies employed by litigants to obstruct the course of justice.

The study adopts an analytical approach to legal texts and judicial rulings, focusing on practical applications. It explores the concept of judicial logic, the influence of psychological factors on judges and litigants, and the most common logical fallacies that lead to flawed judicial reasoning.

The research concludes that it is essential to raise awareness among judges and lawyers about logical fallacies and to develop training programs to address psychological biases and their impact on judicial rulings. It also recommends integrating forensic psychology and legal logic into legal education curricula to ensure more just and objective judicial decisions.
