Abstract

The family is the first building block of society, and therefore the study of the provisions related to its protection and stability is a study of the principles that entail the statement and adherence to which the construction of this human edifice and the establishment of its foundations on solid foundations of virtuous values. This necessitates the need to review the personal status laws in the Arab countries, according to the changing conditions of society, and what this change requires from the issuance of legislation that includes new provisions that suit the emerging changes, in order to protect the Arab family and its stability. Judges must specialize in personal status matters, as this specialization has become an urgent and inevitable necessity to face the changes of the times. The importance of updating the Kuwait document on the unified Arab personal status law and the Muscat document for the unified personal status system of the States of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf. Focusing on the role of family prosecution offices as specialized prosecutors, entrusted with the current competencies of the Public Prosecution in matters of personal status.
