Abstract
The essence of this research revolves around reviewing and discussing the role of codes of conduct and ethical standards in the justice sector – with the judiciary as an exemplar – in enhancing integrity and combating corruption from the perspectives of regional and international standards, along with some comparative models.
The research sheds light on the significance of judicial codes of conduct and ethical principles, as well as the role of codes of conduct and ethical standards in the domain of the public prosecution. The research concludes with a set of findings and recommendations that can help delineate the current approach at regional, international, and national levels concerning the adoption of standards and behavioral codes within the justice sector. Additionally, it proposes developmental recommendations that are conducive to the adoption or advancement of such standards, or the refinement of existing ones, as part of countries' efforts to promote integrity, prevent, and combat corruption.
