Criminal responsibility for refusing to provide medical assistance to a person in danger

Abstract

When ‏the doctor refuses to provide medical assistance to any patient who suffers from the pain and refuses to treat him or her without any reasonable reasons is considered a medical issue. As the medical career requires a big moral and professional responsibility. Further, any type of failure in the medical profession is different from other professions because it directly affects the lives of patients. However, there are two cases that allow the doctor to apologize for providing medical assistance to the patients as in the following cases. First, the Abstinence from medical intervention may be related to the patient's life as it could impact his or her life in the short or long-term. Secondly, the Abstinence from medical intervention may be due to personal reasons for the doctor himself, such as the doctor may be ineligible to treat the patient in certain situations because they are outside of his or her medical specialty.
