Abstract

This study aims to shed light on what happened in the Italian concentration camps of Cyrenaica in Libya between 1928 and 1932 in order to know whether these camps constituted genocide or another crime under international law? The legal qualification of what happened is essential to correctly present this tragedy on the international scene and also to document it in the history and memory of Libyans.
